Ce projet a pour but de cr\u00e9er un outil de diagnostic de cancers, abordable et simple d\u2019utilisation, bas\u00e9 sur la d\u00e9tection de biomarqueurs circulant dans le sang. L\u2019objectif est de faciliter l\u2019acc\u00e8s au d\u00e9pistage de plusieurs cancers \u00e0 la population, afin d\u2019am\u00e9liorer et d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer la prise en charge des malades.<\/p>\n<p>Ce projet marque le d\u00e9but d\u2019une aventure \u00e0 la fois pour ces quelques \u00e9tudiants ayant soif d\u2019innovation, mais \u00e9galement\u00a0 pour master <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bme-paris.com\" title=\"BioMedical Engineering\">BioMedical Engineering<\/a> (BME) et\u00a0 l&rsquo;UFR Sciences Fondamentales qui, ont soutenu cette premi\u00e8re \u00e9quipe UParis_BME rejoignant la comp\u00e9tition iGEM.<\/p>\n<p>Face \u00e0 l\u2019ambition de leur projet, l\u2019\u00e9quipe recrute des \u00e9tudiants ayant d\u2019autres comp\u00e9tences, C\u00e9lia, K\u00e9vin et Aleks rejoignent l\u2019\u00e9quipe. Pendant presque un an, l\u2019\u00e9quipe IGEM Uparis_BME a men\u00e9 de front et avec succ\u00e8s <em>ExoSwitch<\/em>: rencontre avec des experts, mise en place de strat\u00e9gie exp\u00e9rimentales et financi\u00e8res, mod\u00e9lisation, manipulations en laboratoire, communication et m\u00e9diation scientifique\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Notamment, plusieurs membres ont pris la parole \u00e0 propos de la recherche contre le cancer et de l\u2019engagement \u00e9tudiant \u00e0 la Cit\u00e9 des Sciences et de l\u2019Industrie ainsi que devant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=QqdeJj69i5Q&amp;t=688s&amp;ab_channel=Universit%C3%A9deParis\" title=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=QqdeJj69i5Q&amp;t=688s&amp;ab_channel=Universit%C3%A9deParis\">les cam\u00e9ras d&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Paris \u00e0 l\u2019occasion de la F\u00eate de la Science<\/a>. L\u2019\u00e9quipe a \u00e9galement collabor\u00e9 avec d\u2019autres \u00e9quipes participant \u00e0 la comp\u00e9tition, ainsi qu\u2019avec des acteurs cl\u00e9s du monde de la recherche biom\u00e9dicale comme La Ligue contre le Cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Le \u201cGiant Jamboree\u201d &#8211; la finale de la comp\u00e9tition &#8211; a eu lieu du 4 au 14 novembre dernier \u00e0 Paris. Cette finale a permis \u00e0 plusieurs \u00e9quipes du monde entier de se retrouver pour partager leurs derniers instants en tant que \u201c<em>iGEMers<\/em>\u201d, et assister aux diff\u00e9rentes remises de prix. Pour leur premi\u00e8re participation, UParis_BME a re\u00e7u <strong>deux nominations<\/strong> pour deux prix sp\u00e9ciaux: <strong>meilleure \u00e9ducation<\/strong> et <strong>meilleur impact sur la soci\u00e9t\u00e9<\/strong>. De plus, l\u2019\u00e9quipe a remport\u00e9 une <strong>m\u00e9daille d\u2019argent<\/strong> pour la qualit\u00e9 de son travail sur l\u2019ensemble du <a href=\"https:\/\/2021.igem.org\/Team:UParis_BME\" title=\"https:\/\/2021.igem.org\/Team:UParis_BME\">projet<\/a> !<\/p>\n<p>iGEM est une aventure extraordinaire permettant aux \u00e9tudiants de d\u00e9passer leurs limites et prendre leur envol en tant que futurs acteurs du monde de demain !
